Sending a message attachment
Salve allows you to send images and documents directly within a conversation with clinic staff.
⚠︎ Please note that once sent, files cannot be rescinded or deleted. We'll remind you of this in the app before sending any attachments.
Sending an image via your camera
- Tap on the + button in an open conversation
- Choose Take photo from camera
- If prompted, allow Salve access to your camera
- Take your photo
- You can choose to either retake the photo or use the photo just taken
- Once you've taken a photo you like, tap Use photo*
- Write an accompanying message (optional)
- Tap the send button
- Before sending, we'll remind you that once sent your attachment(s) cannot be deleted or rescinded. Tap Send if you're ready to go, or Cancel if you want to go back
* The exact dialogue you see when using your camera will vary from device to device.
Once sent, your image(s) will appear in the chat and will be visible to clinic staff. You can remove the privacy blur for yourself by tapping on the thumbnail, and tap again to open the image.
Sending image attachments

- Choose Browse photos
- If prompted, allow Salve access to your photos
- Pick the image(s) you'd like to send
- Write an accompanying message (optional)
- Tap the send button
- Before sending, we'll remind you that once sent your attachment(s) cannot be deleted or rescinded. Tap Send if you're ready to go, or Cancel if you want to go back
- Once sent, your image(s) will appear in the chat and will be visible to clinic staff
Sending file attachments
- Tap on the + button in an open conversation
- Choose Browse files
- If prompted, allow Salve access to your files
- Pick the file(s) you'd like to send
- Write an accompanying message (optional)
- Tap the send button
- Before sending, we'll remind you that once sent your attachment(s) cannot be deleted or rescinded. Tap Send if you're ready to go, or Cancel if you want to go back
- Once sent, your file(s) will appear in the chat and will be visible to clinic staff
