Starting a chat with your clinic

The messaging feature in Salve is a fast and convenient way of getting in touch with your clinic versus more traditional means like phoning or emailing. You can get quick answers to any queries you might have, such as the timing of your appointments or medications, advice on side effects, or admin-related queries like remittance advice.
Composing a message
- On the messages screen, tap on the compose icon in the top-right corner
- Choose a message category that best suits your query
- Type out your message and tap send
Your message will be sent to the clinic instantly. Clinic staff will usually get back to you on the same day as long as you message them during clinic hours. If you send your message in the evening or on a public holiday, you may need to wait until the next working day for a response.
Why can't I send my clinic a message out of hours?
Some clinics have Salve messaging turned off outside of their opening hours. This will mean that while the clinic is closed, you won't be able to reply to existing conversations or start new ones. Their opening hours will be shown in the app if this is the case; please try again during those hours.
