Video calls in the patient web portal
You can find your upcoming and previous video calls in the patient web portal by clicking on the Video Calls menu option.
Viewing your video calls
When viewing your upcoming and previous video call appointments, you will be able to see the appointment name, who the video call is with, date and time of the appointment, as well as the video call duration.
Joining your video calls
For these types of appointments, you can join the appointment straight from within Salve.
You can join the call by clicking on the phone button up to five minutes before the call's start time and for the booked duration of the call. Outside of these times, the phone button will be disabled.
Clicking on the phone button will open up the video call in a new tab on your browser.
When you join a video call for the first time, Salve will ask for permission to use your microphone and camera. Please make sure you allow this permission as it's necessary for video calls to work.
Can my partner join a video call in the patient web portal?
If your clinic has also invited your partner to the video call, they will be able to view and join the video call(s) from the patient web portal by logging into their account.
During a video call
During a video call you will be able to mute yourself, turn your camera off, check the speakers, microphone and camera options that your device is using for a video call, as well as leave the call by clicking on the red phone button.
After a video call
Once the time for a video call has elapsed, the video call will move into the Previous tab in the patient web portal, and you will no longer be able to join the call.
